- Basic laboratory techniques (pipetting, sterile cell culture)

- Curiosity and structure in approaching unfamiliar topics
- Quick grasp of topics through analytical thinking
Tasks

- Select suitable plasma and biomaterial-based surface modification methods
- Implement surface modification on PES membranes
- Characterize modified surfaces using contact angle measurements
- Perform IR spectroscopy on modified surfaces
- Conduct scanning electron microscopy on modified surfaces
- Perform X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy on modified surfaces
- Seed modified membranes with cells
- Establish cell cultures on modified membranes
- Analyze cell viability using resazurin assay
- Evaluate cell colonization success
- Investigate cell functionality using fluorescence microscopy
- Conduct ELISA to assess cell functionality
- Document and interpret experimental results
