Manager, Mechanical Ground Systems(m/w/x)

Requirements
- B.Sc./M.Sc. degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or equivalent
- Previous experience in team management
- 5+ years relevant professional experience in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering or equivalent
- Advanced Project Management know-how in mechanical, process facilities, civil engineering or similar
- In-depth knowledge structural/mechanical engineering for heavy (steel) structures
- Fluent English
- Knowledge rocket propulsion technology and/or test facility design for aerospace
- Knowledge mechanical aspects process plant engineering
- Structural analysis experience in Ansys, NASTRAN or similar
- Experience hydraulic system design
- Experience with systems for outdoor, ideally offshore environments
- Fluent German
- Travel activity to construction and test sites for on-site coordination
Tasks
- Lead and build a team of mechanical and aerospace engineers.
- Ensure mechanical ground infrastructure design adheres to internal standards and processes.
- Take ownership of technical work packages.
- Coordinate with Project Managers.
- Allocate team members to projects by skill and experience.
- Ensure mechanical systems meet specifications.
- Ensure mechanical systems are delivered on time.
- Lead mechanical (sub)system design, development, and realization.
- Manage system requirements.
- Coordinate technical aspects.
- Document mechanical (sub)systems.
- Conduct design reviews.
- Evaluate system compliance.
- Support commissioning activities.
- Serve as technical contact for external stakeholders.
- Perform trade-off analyses.
- Conduct on-site coordination at construction and test sites.
- Ensure proactive communication throughout project phases.
- Ensure proactive collaboration throughout project phases.
- Make decisions on technical and disciplinary topics for the team.
- Conduct employee performance reviews.
- Develop employees based on strengths and company needs.
- Provide guidance to engineers of all experience levels.
- Contribute to a trustful, respectful, and constructive work environment.
