Life Actuary - Regional Life & Health(m/w/x)
Shaping regional Life & Health strategy and product approval for a global insurer. Several years of life insurance actuarial experience required. Technical actuarial work with strategic business involvement.
Requirements
- University degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, or related fields
- Several years of professional experience in life insurance actuarial roles (pricing, valuation, reporting, or portfolio steering)
- Strong knowledge of insurance KPIs (e.g. NBM, VNB, RoE) and solid understanding of profit drivers in life insurance
- Familiarity with IFRS 17 and risk or actuarial governance frameworks
- Excellent analytical skills with ability to translate complex topics into clear business insights
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills in an international environment
- Fluent English required
- Additional CE languages are an advantage
Tasks
- Shape regional Life & Health strategy
- Support regional product approval process
- Collaborate with local actuarial and business teams
- Act as sparring partner for local life actuaries
- Develop regional standards for pricing and underwriting
- Implement portfolio steering best practices
- Monitor business performance using KPIs
- Identify and address performance deviations
- Guide IFRS 17 integration into product development
- Support portfolio management with risk governance
- Collaborate with Group functions
- Serve as key contact for actuarial topics
- Contribute to strategic and financial planning
- Provide actuarial insights and benchmarks
- Gain exposure to multiple insurance markets
