Technical leadership for application delivery in financial crime prevention, guiding 1-2 engineering squads. 10+ years server-side development with SQL, Search, Messaging technologies required. Leadership role in global, multi-squad engineering environment.

Requirements

  • At least 10 years of experience in server side development in Java, SQL, Search Technologies, Messaging Technologies
  • Good understanding of Kubernetes, Dockers, and preferably some exposure to GCP, ReactJS, Python, Big Data Technologies
  • Excellent personal organisation and communication skills
  • Ability to lead global development teams both directly and via influence
  • Extensive experience practicing TDD/BDD in a Continuous Integration and Delivery environment
  • Strong DevOps/SRE culture
  • Thorough understanding of the wider Architecture & Technology landscape and emerging technologies

Tasks

  • Provide technical leadership for application delivery
  • Design and deliver key baseline components
  • Transform AFC technology into an industry leader
  • Guide one or two squads of skilled engineers
  • Collaborate with Product Managers and Architects
  • Understand business requirements and solution vision
  • Chart out a viable delivery path
  • Craft high-quality code and assist developers
  • Perform regular code reviews
  • Ensure adherence to best practices and methodologies
  • Deliver software according to bank standards
