- Master's degree, Diploma in Engineering, or similar
- Experience in Fatigue & Damage Tolerance
- Preferred experience in fuselage engineering development
- Good communication and international teamwork skills
- Experience in technical leadership of employees
- Mandatory English fluency and appreciated German
- Awareness of compliance risks and integrity
Tasks
- Perform fatigue and damage tolerance evaluations
- Predict crack initiation and growth using FEA tools
- Establish damage tolerance and maintenance philosophies
- Define inspection thresholds and allowable damage limits
- Plan and analyze fatigue tests for aircraft components
- Validate theoretical models with real-world test data
- Integrate F&DT requirements into the design phase
- Ensure full compliance with regulatory airworthiness standards
- Investigate structural failures to determine root causes
- Develop and validate repair schemes and service bulletins
- Define technical scopes, workload sizing, and lead times
- Mitigate technical risks and manage project deliverables
- Present technical findings in steering ceremonies
- Clarify assumptions and interdependencies to stakeholders
- Improve internal analysis tools and monitoring strategies
- Guide colleagues and provide specialized technical expertise
