Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Life Sciences or related field
  • At least 2 years of hands-on wet-lab experience
  • Laboratory operations, lab management, or similar roles experience preferred
  • Good understanding of laboratory workflows, infrastructure & safety standards
  • Lab management systems and database experience
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Proactive mindset with strong initiative and solution-oriented thinking
  • Excellent English communication skills
  • German skills are a plus

Tasks

  • Coordinate institutional laboratory operations
  • Serve as interface between research groups, Facility Management, and leadership
  • Oversee shared equipment and laboratory infrastructure
  • Manage biospecimen storage
  • Monitor storage capacity
  • Track inventory
  • Establish a centralized lab management system
  • Maintain a centralized lab management system
  • Coordinate onboarding of new research groups
  • Manage structured offboarding
  • Coordinate sample transfer
  • Coordinate sample archiving
  • Coordinate sample disposal
  • Ensure laboratory safety
  • Ensure regulatory compliance
  • Coordinate safety trainings with EHS
  • Contribute to operational process development
  • Contribute to operational standard development
  • Report to Scientific Directors
  • Collaborate with research teams
  • Collaborate with Facility Management
  • Collaborate with EHS
  • Collaborate with internal services groups
  • Communicate operational updates clearly
  • Communicate operational updates professionally
