Lab Operations Manager(m/w/x)
Coordinating institutional lab operations and managing biospecimen storage for pediatric cancer research. Laboratory operations experience preferred. Additional days off, company doctor.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Life Sciences or related field
- At least 2 years of hands-on wet-lab experience
- Laboratory operations, lab management, or similar roles experience preferred
- Good understanding of laboratory workflows, infrastructure & safety standards
- Lab management systems and database experience
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Proactive mindset with strong initiative and solution-oriented thinking
- Excellent English communication skills
- German skills are a plus
Tasks
- Coordinate institutional laboratory operations
- Serve as interface between research groups, Facility Management, and leadership
- Oversee shared equipment and laboratory infrastructure
- Manage biospecimen storage
- Monitor storage capacity
- Track inventory
- Establish a centralized lab management system
- Maintain a centralized lab management system
- Coordinate onboarding of new research groups
- Manage structured offboarding
- Coordinate sample transfer
- Coordinate sample archiving
- Coordinate sample disposal
- Ensure laboratory safety
- Ensure regulatory compliance
- Coordinate safety trainings with EHS
- Contribute to operational process development
- Contribute to operational standard development
- Report to Scientific Directors
- Collaborate with research teams
- Collaborate with Facility Management
- Collaborate with EHS
- Collaborate with internal services groups
- Communicate operational updates clearly
- Communicate operational updates professionally
