Key Account Manager – Automotive Business Line(m/w/x)
Managing sales and relationships for robotics portfolio with key automotive customers at a global industrial automation leader. 3+ years account management or sales experience in automotive or automation required. Company car, employee share acquisition plan, flexible work practices.
Requirements
- 3+ years of professional experience in account management, sales/sales support, or business development within the automotive or automation industry
- Strong skills in customer relationship management and negotiation
- Good understanding of automation solutions and ideally automotive plant engineering
- Ability to identify customer needs and develop tailored solutions with cross-functional teams
- Degree in business administration, engineering, or a related field
- Excellent communication skills in English and fluency in German
Tasks
- Manage the sales process, including opportunity generation and offer preparation
- Negotiate commercial terms across the ABB Robotics portfolio
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with key automotive customers
- Identify customer needs and develop tailored solutions with technical and sales teams
- Promote the complete ABB Robotics portfolio and define strategic focus areas
- Support the Sales Manager in executing the sales strategy and achieving targets
- Prepare for and participate in customer negotiations, focusing on sustainable value
- Monitor customer satisfaction and drive actions for continuous improvement
- Coordinate with internal sales teams, including service and technical support
- Provide strategic support for pricing, technical standards, and references in other countries
- Stay updated on automotive industry trends and share insights with the team
