Requirements
- Master's studies in Physics, Computational Engineering, Medical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science (technical focus), or related field
- Initial experience in numerical simulation of physical systems
- Programming skills in Python, MATLAB, or scientific computing environments
- Analytical understanding of continuous models, differential equations, numerical methods
- Independent, structured working style and strong interest in complex physical problems
- Positive attitude, motivation, and drive to conclude issues
- Proactive, structured, goal-oriented work style; overview in complex topics/projects
- Analytical, conceptual thinking, and strong problem-solving skills
- Strong communication skills (presentations) and multidisciplinary team communication
Tasks
- Learn physical fundamentals and mathematical modeling of dynamic fields
- Develop numerical models using pseudospectral, FDTD, or FEM
- Implement time-domain simulation of complex effects in heterogeneous media
- Parameterize various materials
- Analyze material influence on simulation stability
- Evaluate deterministic modeling approaches for discretization, stability, efficiency
- Compare simulation results with literature, analytical, or experimental data
- Document and scientifically prepare results
