Requirements

  • Master’s or PhD studies in Data Science, Computer Science, Bioinformatics / Computational Biology, or Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning
  • Proficiency in data visualization tools (Tableau or Power BI)
  • Experience with Python
  • Familiarity with SAP data structures
  • Solid understanding of circular economy principles
  • Ability to analyze complex datasets
  • Ability to turn findings into clear business recommendations
  • Comfortable working independently
  • Comfortable navigating technical data sources
  • Fluency in English
  • Fluency in German
  • Encouraged to apply even if not meeting all qualifications

Tasks

  • Contribute to building an automated biomedical knowledge graph
  • Implement a fine-tuning pipeline for a small language model
  • Develop an entity resolution workflow
  • Build a large-scale knowledge graph from disease-relevant abstracts
  • Create a performance report and integration demo
  • Support faster evidence synthesis and research insights
  • Analyze top 10 frequently used plastics and composites in a pilot area
  • Extract and integrate data from SAP and ECHA sources
  • Develop an interactive dashboard MVP
  • Visualize material choice, CO2 footprint, and end-of-life costs
  • Evaluate design-for-recycling status of product components
  • Identify and assess alternative materials
  • Improve SHE score and reduce disposal expenses
  • Support creation of a recommendation roadmap for Procurement
  • Translate technical and sustainability data into practical insights
  • Collaborate with Product Stewardship and related functions

  • Currently in higher education
