Internal Auditor(m/w/x)
Risk-based internal audits for a nuclear research organization and its pension fund. IT auditing or IT systems knowledge preferred. 30 days paid leave, 2 weeks annual closure, family allowances.
Requirements
- Knowledge or experience in IT auditing or IT systems
- Familiarity with accounting principles
- Professional certifications (CIA, CISA, CFE, CA/CPA) are a plus
- Strong communication and active listening skills
- Ability to present ideas clearly and effectively
- Adaptability of style and content to different audiences
- Capability of analysing complex information
- Ability to identify key issues
- Ability to provide clear, concise conclusions
- Objective decision-making based on facts
- Ability to collaborate effectively in teams

- Data analytics skills
- Spoken and written English
- Commitment to learn French
- Nationality of a CERN Member or Associate Member State
- Maximum two years of professional experience since graduation
- Experience in Auditing, Accounting, Finance, Economics (or related field)
- Highest educational qualification: Bachelor's or Master's degree
- No prior CERN fellow or graduate contract
- University degree required
- No PhD
Tasks
- Perform risk-based internal audits
- Contribute to strengthening governance, risk management, and internal controls
- Prepare clear audit reports
- Follow up on recommendation implementation
- Develop risk-based audit plans for CERN and Pension Fund
- Support Audit Committee meetings
- Collaborate with internal, external stakeholders and External Auditors
- Ensure alignment with Global Internal Audit Standards
- Participate in quality assurance and improvement initiatives
- Stay informed on CERN activities and professional developments
