Requirements
- Enrolled or recently completed university degree
- Specialization in Trade, Economics, or International Affairs
- Fluency in written and spoken English
- Knowledge of another official UN language
- Experience in trade show organization
- Experience in German–African cooperation
- Proficiency in relevant software tools

Tasks
- Observe day-to-day operations of the unit
- Engage in delegated on-the-job training
- Conduct desk-based research on African trade shows
- Perform structured online searches and database screening
- Develop a standardized survey and mapping template
- Compile trade show profiles with business-relevant indicators
- Integrate gender-responsive data into mapping templates
- Engage with organizers to verify data accuracy
- Analyze trade show relevance for German business delegations
- Identify German trade shows for African company portfolios
- Draft concise profiles of Germany-based trade shows
- Summarize market relevance and thematic focus of events
- Support needs assessments for African trade show organizers
- Design tailored capacity-building activities with partner organizations
- Prepare presentations, briefs, and knowledge products
- Support internal and external consultations
- Contribute to special emerging projects
- Prepare a final end-of-internship report
