Intern for Computational Genomics in Large Clinical Cancer Cohorts for Precision Oncology(m/w/x)
Analyzing multi-omic and clinical data for precision oncology at Roche pRED. Strong R and git coding skills required. Research project experience a plus.
Requirements
- Master’s program enrollment or recent graduation in computational biology, computer science, statistics, or related field
- Strong coding skills with R and git
- Research-driven mindset; prior research project experience or publications are a plus
- Independence, analytical skills, and collaboration
- Passion for translating data into patient impact
- Proficiency in English (written and verbal)
- Essential prior experience with genomic & transcriptomics datasets
- Prior experience in cancer biology, cell identity mapping/lineage programs, patient enrichment / biomarker analyses, and/or applied ML methods is a plus
Tasks
- Analyze and integrate multi-omic and clinical data
- Perform comparative and enrichment analyses
- Identify clinically relevant molecular phenotypes
- Identify biomarkers, including resistance-associated states
- Identify lineage programs
- Evaluate and benchmark findings against established approaches
- Benchmark findings against gene signatures
- Partner with computational biologists
- Partner with translational scientists
- Partner with biomarker scientists
- Drive creative, independent solutions
- Deliver high-quality analysis code
- Deliver reproducible outputs in a version-controlled format
- Provide clear documentation for code and outputs
- Contribute to real-world therapeutic research
- Prepare results for conference presentations
- Prepare results for journal publications
