Requirements

  • Minimum 20 years of age
  • Enrolled in university degree programme, or within one year of completing a degree, or completed degree and sponsored
  • Finance, Economics, Business Administration or related field
  • Fluency in written and spoken English
  • Knowledge of another UN language is an asset
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Experience with SAP or other ERP software is an advantage

Tasks

  • Support Financial Resource Management Divisions
  • Observe day-to-day financial operations
  • Engage in on-the-job training
  • Collect best practices in financial management
  • Prepare analyses and research papers
  • Assist in financial control and verification
  • Support compliance checks and process improvements
  • Maintain bank master data in SAP
  • Enter, validate, and report data in SAP
  • Manage information in grants management module
  • Follow up on budget revisions and grant closures
  • Participate in innovation and improvement projects
  • Verify and process invoices and travel claims
  • Support account reconciliation
  • Clear bank discrepancies
  • Contribute to special projects
  • Prepare end-of-internship report

Education

  • Currently in higher educationOR
  • Bachelor's degree
