Installation Engineer(m/w/x)
On-site installation and functional verification of wafer manufacturing systems. Semiconductor industry experience a plus. Company car for private use, 6 weeks vacation.
Requirements
- Technical degree/diploma in engineering, mechanical, electrical, electronic engineering or equivalent work experience
- Good technical and analytical skills
- Ability to troubleshoot software and electronic, optic, mechanical, electro-mechanical or electro-optical systems
- Semiconductor industry experience (bonus)
- Competencies in optical, mechanic, electronic, lithography, metrology, and laser technology (preferable but not necessary)
- Knowledge of computer theory
- Knowledge of various operating systems and applicable operating system software
- Networking knowledge in Windows, Unix or Novell environment
- Process engineering/yield management knowledge (bonus)
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Understanding customer needs
- Ability to work under pressure
- Ability to work to project deadlines
- Availability for international travel up to 70%
Tasks
- Secure proper tool installation at customer sites
- Complete activities for accurate tool function
- Conduct site surveys
- Perform pre-installation tasks
- Execute installations
- Troubleshoot issues
- Manage acceptance processes
- Provide training
- Prepare product for use
- Hold pre-installation meetings with customers
- Scope customer unique requirements
- Create action plans for customer needs
- Validate deliverables with customers
- Install tools to KLA specifications
- Perform system testing per procedures
- Integrate light source and optics
- Perform precision alignment
- Integrate and teach wafer handler robots
- Align and calibrate cameras and collection optics
- Perform system-level calibrations
- Verify system performance
- Conduct performance testing for sensitivity
- Conduct performance testing for repeatability
- Perform stability testing
- Perform cleanliness testing
- Verify applications
- Validate product wafers
- Troubleshoot complex system issues
- Analyze data for troubleshooting
- Apply seven-step problem-solving methodology
- Manage escalations across customers and regions
- Meet with customers after system testing
- Facilitate tool performance verification
- Ensure tools are functioning properly
- Manage customer satisfaction
- Conduct pre-activity meetings
- Conduct routine update meetings
- Conduct escalation meetings
- Conduct post-activity meetings
- Conduct warranty meetings
- Perform install/customer-focused applications testing
- Approve operational quality of tools
- Provide new product installation training
- Train worldwide customer support engineers
