Tasks
- Ensure loading and handling capacities align with volume requirements
- Define and execute end-to-end transportation strategy
- Position Logistics as a strong business partner
- Lead structured tenders and negotiations
- Build long-term relationships with top regional carriers
- Implement transparent SLAs and performance scorecards
- Secure transport capacity based on forecasts
- Develop intermodal solutions to reduce cost exposure
- Increase supply chain resilience
- Translate demand forecasts into cost-efficient operational plans
- Account for European warehouse operations
- Build scalable, structured warehouse processes
- Ensure clear space utilization
- Plan forward-looking capacity
- Maintain strong inventory governance
- Conduct cycle counting and system-to-physical accuracy checks
- Optimize WMS for operational transparency
- Apply Lean Warehouse principles
- Establish standardized, meaningful KPIs
- Challenge assumptions constructively
- Establish peak-readiness
- Shift organization from reactive firefighting to structured execution
- Lead and develop a team of around 20 colleagues
- Foster accountability and role clarity
- Promote effective communication across Warehousing and Transportation
