Requirements
- Deep technical understanding of GCS, launchers, tracking antenna arrays, and ruggedized power/control systems
- Ability to sniff and analyze communication protocols (ground/air)
- Experience building/maintaining HIL/SIL environments
- Competence in vibration, thermal, and EMI testing
- Skilled in oscilloscopes, spectrum, and network protocol analyzers
Tasks
- Validate mechanical launch systems for repeatable, safe exit velocities.
- Validate mechanical launch systems for structural integrity.
- Perform high-repetition burn-in tests on GCS and data link firmware.
- Perform high-repetition burn-in tests on GCS and data link hardware configurations.
- Liaise with the IRB Team.
- Maintain a ground-based Iron Bird.
- Test system-wide reactions to simulated component failures.
- Build a library of ground-side edge and failure cases for flight integration.
- Generate technical De-risking Reports.
- Manage relevant testing cards in JIRA.
