- 15 years in-house experience in global organizations with Asia, Europe, US, Middle East
- 10 years experience in senior legal roles with international M&A
- 10 years deep expertise in IP law
- 10 years General Counsel level experience
- Strong corporate and commercial law expertise across multiple jurisdictions
- Proven track record in leading multi-disciplinary project workstreams
- Extensive experience with senior/board-level executives in global organizations
- Native/business-level proficiency in English
- Ability to work independently and manage commercial risk
- Flexibility to operate across multiple jurisdictions
Tasks
- Advise CEO and Senior Executive Team on legal and commercial matters
- Collaborate with Senior Executive Team on corporate and commercial strategy
- Support global strategy development and implementation in commercial transactions
- Lead and support major transactions and negotiations, including M&A and partnerships
- Structure and guide execution of new business and corporate development deals
- Manage board and corporate approval processes
- Provide legal support for fair operations, including content and infrastructure
- Embed company governance and compliance best practices
- Build and implement legal tools and processes for company operations
- Align legal and risk requirements across the company’s value chain
- Standardize and professionalize legal outputs, such as visitor rules and online terms
- Provide legal support to the HR team on employment and organizational matters
- Manage and resolve commercial disputes
- Liaise with the company group’s legal, risk, finance, and tax functions
- Liaise with the company group’s Board of Directors
- Instruct and manage external counsel
- Manage the company’s legal budget
