FLIGHT CONTROL SYSTEM (FCS) / FLIGHT MANAGEMENT SYSTEM (FMS) Hardware Architect & Equipment Design Responsible(m/w/x)

Requirements
- Master's degree in Electrical or Aerospace Engineering or equivalent
- Minimum 5 years professional experience
- Knowledge and practical expertise with airborne equipment
- Very good Qualification, Certification, Safety, Airworthiness, Reliability, Maintainability
- Very good Hardware DAL A development (DO-254, ARP4754A, AMC 20-152A)
- Very good robust, certifiable hardware design (DO-160, MIL-STD-810)
- Good Software DAL A development (DO-178C)
- Experience in hardware design (ASICs, FPGAs, PLDs) and verification (schematics, PCB layout)
- Detailed knowledge of airborne equipment, electronic hardware development (DO-254 DAL A, ARP4754A, AMC 20-152A)
- Knowledge of hardware design language(s) (VHDL or equivalent) for FPGA, ASIC, PCB design/verification
- Experience in analogue hardware design (e.g., actuation control)
- Detailed experience in environmental, robust, certifiable hardware design (DO-160, MIL-STD-810)
- Detailed experience in equipment and hardware certification
- Experience in requirements engineering and tools (DOORs or similar)
- Experience in technical supplier management
- Knowledge of digital computing, analytical, signal processing skills
- Knowledge of Eurofighter, FCAS, Eurodrone, other Weapon Systems (welcome)
- Ability to work independently, collaboratively in international team, coordinate, influence
- Willingness to travel on business
- Business-fluent English and German
Tasks
- Design FCS and FMS equipment for weapon systems (e.g., Eurofighter, FCAS, Eurodrone).
- Manage and allocate statutory, functional, performance, system, and technical requirements.
- Ensure FCS/FMS hardware design (analog and digital) complies with DO-254.
- Generate and maintain equipment specifications (PTS).
- Generate and maintain data requirement lists.
- Generate and maintain equipment engineering designs.
- Generate and maintain requirement documents (FRD).
- Generate and maintain equipment interface control documents.
- Coordinate and ensure compliance for Equipment D3Q.
- Ensure equipment development complies with DO-254 and other hardware standards.
- Manage equipment obsolescence and re-design.
- Manage supplier selection processes.
- Manage supplier D3Q activities.
- Manage supplier milestones.
- Conduct Stage of Involvement Reviews (SOIs) with certification agencies.
- Validate and accept supplier deliverables.
- Manage supplier DDPs, limitations, and deviations.
- Control supplier and program plans.
- Ensure compliance with technical contract documents.
- Manage equipment changes.
- Manage build standards.
- Support stakeholders with equipment queries, defects, and problem investigations.
- Support equipment integration testing.
- Liaise and coordinate with other disciplines and internal Airbus departments (EMC, RM&T, ILS, QA).
- Liaise and coordinate with customers and certification authorities.
- Coordinate with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
