Requirements
- Customer-engineering interfacing experience
- Software development, design, architecture experience (embedded systems, real-time, low-level programming with C, Assembly, or C++)
- Bachelor's Degree (Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or similar) or equivalent experience
- Linux development environment experience
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
- Automotive segment vertical market experience
- Broad knowledge of high-tech and automotive industry
- Technical experience in RTOS solutions (Wind River, Green Hills) (asset)
- Broad knowledge of high-tech and embedded industry
- Thorough knowledge of marketing concepts and practices
- Business management, strategic planning, analysis, decision-making, leadership, communications, customer relations skills
Tasks
- Own customer technical relationships.
- Advise customers on design decisions.
- Represent QNX at events, trade shows, webinars.
- Liaise between customers and QNX R&D, Engineering, Product Management.
- Provide technical expertise on QNX solutions.
- Support the sales team technically and consultatively.
- Analyze customer design requirements.
- Assess feasibility and scope for customer requests.
- Manage customer technical requirements from development to release.
- Build and maintain positive technical customer relations.
- Encourage new development projects and upgrades.
- Deliver pre-sales demos.
- Conduct pre-sales benchmarking.
- Provide high-level customer design assistance.
- Set up initial customer environments.
- Participate in customer-specific development.
- Prepare and present technical material to customers.
- Develop and maintain competitive technical intelligence.
- Recommend technical improvements for customer experience.
