External Operation Manager(m/w/x)

Requirements
- Degree in science, engineering, or equivalent
- >5 years of practical experience in chemical/pharmaceutical industry
- Good knowledge about Drug Development, clinical operations, or supply chain management
- Basic project management, good organization, and planning skills
- Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices and Health, Safety & Environment regulations
- Very good communication, fundamental leadership, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Clinical vendor management experience
- Contract Research Organization experience
- Continual Improvement Process, Master Data, Material Requirements Planning, Materials Management, Production Planning, Supply-Chain Management, Supply Chain Planning, Technical Requirements, Waterfall Model, Warehouse Management Systems
Tasks
- Build the interface between clinical supply chain functions, clinical teams, and external partners
- Manage finance activities, including Purchase Orders and invoice approval
- Liaise with Comparator Sourcing Supply Lead and Novartis study team for accurate protocol interpretation
- Provide guidance for correct demand calculation and ensure operational responsiveness
- Ensure cost-efficient material flow while minimizing waste and accommodating changing demand
- Monitor vendor performance using pre-defined KPIs and collaborate on process optimizations
- Support the collection and analysis of study demand and enrollment data with the study team
- Ensure automated key portfolio data is accessible and timely for external partners
- Oversee site (re)-supply for high-priority trials and materials
- Guide external partners in developing and executing optimal resupply strategies
- Identify and communicate supply risks with appropriate mitigation strategies
- Retrieve and communicate changes in study design and coordinate implementation with external partners
- Work closely with vendors and clinical teams to execute product sourcing strategies
- Drive best practices and standardization in comparator demand and supply planning processes
