Compliance assessment of data access and management for biobanking and biomolecular resources, connecting with nodes, preparing ELSI guidance. PhD in law with advanced GDPR and sensitive health data domain knowledge required. Complementary health insurance, private pension scheme, flexible hours.
Requirements
- University studies (PhD or higher in law); advantageous bioethics expertise
- Advanced knowledge of GDPR, sensitive health data domain (informed consent, secondary use, data sharing within EU/Globally), and Ethics boards
- Presentation and moderation skills (EU/global level)
- Sound project management knowledge; ability to monitor legal/financial obligations
- Advantageous: Minimum 3 years' experience in scientific management of interdisciplinary/international projects (Horizon Europe) and teams
- Advantageous: Familiarity with European Research Infrastructure ecosystem
- Independent and self-driven working style
- Minimum 3 years' experience
- Advantageous: Experience leading/guiding international consortia, including diplomatic skills with senior external management
- Capability in handling legal framework agreements
- Communication and organizational skills; teamwork skills
- Professional English fluency
- Diplomatic challenge resolution ability
- Readiness for moderate travel
Tasks
- Assess existing data access conditions for compliance
- Evaluate data management policies for compliance
- Review data governance models for compliance
- Connect with BBMRI-ERIC National and Organizational Nodes
- Prepare ELSI guidance for biobanks
- Advise on legal and bioethical issues in society
- Provide best practices for implementing strategies
- Engage with BBMRI-ERIC stakeholders
- Collect and analyze ELSI needs
- Apply legal expertise to guide consultations
- Implement GDPR regulations
- Implement the European Health Data Space (EHDS)
- Participate in European Open Science Cloud (EOSC) development
- Monitor recent EU regulatory developments
- Stay informed on Digital Omnibus regulations
- Track GDPR, AI Act, and MDR/IVDR updates
- Build and maintain scientific relationships
- Liaise with external stakeholders
- Collaborate within an interdisciplinary ELSI team
