Requirements
- •Degree in EHS, engineering, safety technology, or comparable technical qualification
- •Completed training as an Occupational Safety Specialist (Sifa)
- •Completed fire safety training (Parts 1 & 2)
- •All necessary certifications and qualifications (e.g., Authorized Person for inspections, fire safety qualifications, DGUV certificates) – either already obtained or willingness to acquire
- •Several years of experience in occupational safety and fire protection in a manufacturing environment
- •Extensive knowledge of German safety regulations and standards as well as relevant legal requirements (e.g., ArbSchG, DGUV, etc.)
- •Experience working with regulatory authorities, especially in environmental and occupational safety areas
- •Fluency in both German and English
- •Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- •Independent work style, leadership skills, and organizational abilities
- •Proficiency in Microsoft Office or similar software
- •Willingness to travel: Approx. 25% of the time will be required for business trips between the two German locations in Osnabrück and Burg

Tasks
- •Serve as the Occupational Safety Specialist according to the German Occupational Safety Act and DGUV Regulation 2
- •Act as the Fire Safety Officer and collaborate with fire safety and evacuation helpers
- •Advise and oversee processes related to occupational safety, health protection, and accident prevention
- •Prepare and conduct ASA meetings, managing protocols and follow-up actions
- •Organize and document mandatory occupational medical examinations in cooperation with the company doctor
- •Develop and implement EHS management systems to standardize practices and improve safety at two locations
- •Ensure compliance with legal requirements and monitor adherence to local and global standards
- •Plan and conduct training sessions and briefings to promote safety awareness
- •Analyze incidents and implement corrective and preventive measures through audits and risk assessments
- •Coordinate with authorities, trade associations, and internal departments for safety inspections and audits
- •Engage employees in safety initiatives through committees, workshops, and inspections
