Requirements

  • 3+ years professional experience in data pipeline design, build, and maintenance
  • University degree in computer science or related field
  • Strong background in data handling, integration, and analysis
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with data management and interoperability standards (FHIR, OMOP, SNOMED, ICD-10)
  • Strong programming skills in Python
  • In-depth database expertise (SQL), focus on PostgreSQL
  • Plus: Experience with in-memory DBMS (SAP HANA)
  • Solid hands-on experience with ETL frameworks (Prefect, Airflow)
  • Ideally: Experience in clinical trials or network studies design
  • Plus: Experience with TypeScript
  • Plus: Knowledge of deployment practices (CI/CD, Kubernetes) on cloud infrastructures (Azure)
  • Plus: Experience with wearable and time-series data standards
  • Strong English communication skills (verbal, written, presentation)
  • Ambition and commitment to problem-solving
  • Team-orientation and collaborative goal achievement
  • Regular presence in Potsdam and/or Berlin office

Tasks

  • Design, build, and maintain data pipelines for standardized health data integration.
  • Continuously expand knowledge of the OMOP Data Model.
  • Analyze and interpret electronic health data.
  • Understand and enhance data models for new modalities.
  • Improve data pipeline quality with technical and clinical teams.
  • Support clinical teams in building standardized data cohorts.
  • Contribute to data model standardization.
  • Collaborate with research partners and global development teams.
