- Technical or business management education with technical understanding
- At least 3 years relevant professional experience in procurement
- Knowledge of cable industry and procurement market for cable manufacturing materials
- Solid understanding of purchasing processes with analytical skills for price evaluation
- Strong organizational orientation and structured approach to problem solving
- Ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Good communication skills with internal and external stakeholders
- Very good command of written and spoken German
- Very good command of written and spoken English
- Advantageous: other foreign languages, preferably Italian
- Good knowledge of MS Office
- Good knowledge of ERP system
- Microsoft Dynamics 365 knowledge is an advantage
Tasks
- Source raw materials and components for cable manufacturing
- Negotiate procurement terms with suppliers
- Procure materials and finished goods for cable production
- Ensure purchases meet quality and cost standards
- Maintain supply continuity for production and customer demands
- Manage procurement of high-, medium-, and low-voltage cable materials
- Analyze demand and issue purchase orders
- Follow up on purchase orders and deliveries
- Act as primary contact for assigned suppliers
- Monitor delivery times, quality, and stock levels
- Evaluate suppliers and negotiate prices
- Verify order confirmations and delivery documents
- Perform invoice checks
- Support audits and internal controls
