Automation & Electronics Engineer(m/w/x)
Designing automation concepts and integrating PLC-based control systems for dental technologies. University degree in a relevant field and machine safety experience required. Automation and electrical engineering in special-purpose machinery or plant engineering preferred.
Requirements
- University degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Automation, or comparable field
- Experience in automation and electrical engineering, preferably in special-purpose machinery or plant engineering
- Practical knowledge of PLC-based control systems (Beckhoff / TwinCAT advantageous), without primary responsibility for PLC software development
- Knowledge of drive technology, industrial automation, and fieldbus systems
- Experience with machine safety, risk assessments, and CE conformity
- Experience with EPLAN, Altium, LTSpice, or similar tools is advantageous
- Structured, analytical, and independent working style with hands-on mindset
- Ability to quickly adapt to new technologies and tasks
- Very good German and English skills
Tasks
- Define automation concepts and system designs
- Specify and integrate PLC-based control systems
- Develop and integrate electrical hardware
- Design electrical power distribution systems
- Conduct machine safety analyses and risk assessments
- Commission and validate machines in-house and on-site
- Perform fault analysis and system optimization
- Integrate industrial communication systems
- Develop quality inspection and measurement solutions
- Transfer systems into production-ready machines
- Document development and test results
- Collaborate with mechanical, robotics, and software teams
- Support production with technical troubleshooting
