Requirements

  • Master’s/PhD degree in Computer Science, Data Science, AI, or related field
  • Developing and operationalizing ML/DL solutions (PyTorch, TensorFlow) on GPU/HPC systems
  • Large Language Models (LLMs) and Generative AI, including RAG, AI agents, prompt engineering, domain-specific fine-tuning
  • MLOps: Docker/Kubernetes, GitOps, MLflow/Kubeflow, observability stacks (Prometheus/Grafana, ELK)
  • HPC schedulers (e.g., SLURM) and hybrid cloud architectures
  • Responsible-AI-Frameworks and EU-AI-Regulations familiarity
  • Expertise in NLP, Computer Vision, time-series Analytics, or Computational Audio Intelligence
  • Prototyping, proof-of-concepts, or MVP development in applied context
  • Agile and user-centered approaches
  • Collaborative, interdisciplinary environments and external partners/stakeholders experience
  • German and English language skills
  • Eligibility for working in Austria

Tasks

  • Design and deliver applied AI solutions
  • Understand client needs and define project scope
  • Develop prototypes, proof-of-concepts, and early MVPs
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams
  • Contribute to innovation sprints and venture-building activities
  • Work with startups, researchers, and domain experts
  • Identify AI-driven opportunities
  • Translate opportunities into technically feasible concepts
  • Ideate, prototype, and validate AI solutions
  • Use agile and user-centered innovation approaches
  • Develop end-to-end AI applications and technical pipelines
  • Apply expertise in applied machine learning and data pipelines
  • Develop and optimize AI models
  • Mentor and advise teams on AI pipeline design
  • Ensure alignment with responsible AI practices
  • Design and operate AI workflows
  • Train models and implement RAG
  • Conduct distributed training in HPC and cloud environments
  • Develop hands-on reference workflows
  • Support partner projects end-to-end
  • Develop and deliver AI training formats
  • Conduct workshops and technical tutorials
  • Share knowledge with startups and industry partners
  • Ensure trustworthy AI practices
  • Integrate fairness, privacy, security, and regulatory compliance
  • Collaborate with internal and external teams
  • Capture insights from projects
  • Document technical learnings
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of AI services
  • Support representation of AI Factory Austria
  • Participate in workshops and innovation programs
  • Enhance visibility and impact of applied AI initiatives
