Accounting Specialist / Accounting Policies & Controls(m/w/x)
Enhancing accounting policies and driving IFRS process implementation for a global asset manager. CPA certification and advanced Excel modeling skills preferred. Hybrid model with flexible hours and relocation support.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred
- In-depth knowledge of IFRS
- Knowledge of applicable financial laws and regulations
- Advanced Excel modeling capabilities
- ERP experience such as SAP is a plus
- Innovative mindset

- Interest in working with artificial intelligence tools

Tasks
- Maintain and enhance accounting policies
- Drive implementation of new accounting processes
- Support management reporting and stakeholder communication
- Coordinate control framework and related processes
- Work closely with regional accounting functions and key stakeholders
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and controls
- Monitor processes for new IFRS standards
- Prepare management for new regulatory requirements
- Assess and ensure timely adoption of IFRS changes
- Serve as central information hub for IFRS updates
- Liaise with Allianz Asset Management and Allianz Group
- Provide expert technical accounting support
- Prepare IFRS accounting memos and position papers
- Foster alignment and obtain stakeholder approvals
- Analyze and report notable business transactions
- Oversee financial reporting control framework
- Assess risks and controls for accurate reporting
- Comment on financial data and report critical decisions
- Coordinate global processes for specific topics
- Plan and oversee financial analysis and recording
- Apply journal entry testing using digital tools
- Identify and drive process improvements
- Collaborate with Risk Management and auditors
