Anforderungen
- Compliance with International and Federal Transportation Laws
- Compliance with International Trade and Arms Regulations (ITAR)
- Participation in ISO 9001 quality assurance program
- High school degree or equivalent
- Experience in freight acceptance, preparation, processing, inspection, documentation, and handling
- Completion of HAZMAT training IAW AFMAN 24-604
- Experience operating Material Handling Equipment (4K, 6K, 10K/10K AT Forklift, pallet jacks)
- Ability to obtain and maintain host country certification for MHE operation
- Knowledge of packaging, blocking, bracing, and restraint for surface movement
- Computer literacy and ability to operate cargo and office administration software
- Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English
- Authorization to work in host country
- Completion of Senior Customs Boarder Clearance Agent (SCBCA) Program for EUCOM compliance
Aufgaben
- Arrange shipment of cargo worldwide via air, land, and sea
- Comply with international and federal transportation laws and regulations
- Ensure shipments meet International Trade and Arms Regulations (ITAR)
- Participate in ISO 9001 quality assurance programs
- Load and unload trucks
- Account for and distribute cargo documentation
- Manifest cargo transported via trucks
- Operate material handling equipment and special purpose vehicles
- Inspect and accept cargo documentation for completeness and accuracy
- Process and verify cargo nomenclature, hazard class, and quantity
- Inspect inbound and outbound cargo for transportation
- Classify freight and select commodity codes
- Select the most efficient shipment modes
- Control government transportation fund obligations
- Inspect hazardous materials for proper packaging, marking, and labeling
- Ensure compliance with dangerous goods regulations
- Contact local carriers to arrange cost-efficient transportation
- Verify shipment details including sizes, weights, and classifications
- Utilize automated computer systems to process and document freight
- Inspect, prepare, and process shipping containers
- Prepare shipping documents and assign Transportation Control Numbers
- Produce shipping labels and issue truck manifests
- Maintain manifest logs
- Input transportation accounting and cargo data into systems
- Prepare and accept shipping documents for container movements
- Provide in-transit visibility through transportation networks
- Perform host country customs clearances
- Liaise with military and host country ministries on import/export
- Inspect and accept inbound air cargo, line haul trucks, and containers
- Inventory and inspect incoming freight for damage
- Initiate and complete Transportation Discrepancy Reports (TDR)
- Prepare and handle cargo according to regulations and procedures
- Weigh cargo and vehicles to determine balance
- Ensure cargo dimensions meet pallet and aircraft limitations
- Work with customers to meet movement objectives, priorities, and schedules
- Analyze work processes and develop performance measurement matrices
- Load and unload pallets and containers
- Operate material handling equipment, including forklifts
- Conduct joint inspections with the Aerial Port for air cargo
- Complete quality, training, environment, and safety program steps
- Compile data and submit reports and correspondence
- Perform other position-related duties as assigned
