Anforderungen
- Technical assistant education (BTA, MTA, CTA)
- Experience in mammalian and insect cell culture and/or virus work
- Solid knowledge of standard molecular biology, protein biochemistry, and cell biology techniques
- Comfortable with technical, computer-controlled equipment
- Interest in learning new procedures
- Enjoyment of working in international, interdisciplinary team
- Good written and spoken English and German
- Very good organizational skills
- Willingness to work independently, reliably, and responsibly
- Proficiency in MS Office applications
Aufgaben
- Perform experimental work in structural cell biology
- Support general lab functions
- Provide technical assistance to department members
- Maintain and grow cell cultures, including insect cells
- Transfect and infect cells for protein production
- Conduct protein expression and purification experiments
- Use ÄKTA systems for column chromatography
- Prepare and perform standard and complex molecular biology experiments
- Conduct cloning experiments
- Purify and analyze nucleic acids
- Control and verify experimental results
- Operate and maintain lab equipment
- Assist with stock control
- Organize and care for the lab environment
- Prepare media and buffers
- Handle general lab tasks
