- Coach and develop engineers of varying seniority levels
- Manage performance and address growth issues
- Shape the team's hiring criteria and composition
- Define and refine team processes and ceremonies
- Partner with the product owner and UX designers
- Manage expectations and negotiate realistic timelines
- Represent the team within the organization
- Maintain alignment with company-wide strategy
- Identify and resolve recurring team issues
- Understand and influence technical decisions
- Foster a resilient and collaborative team environment
- Promote knowledge sharing and cross-functional work
- Ensure senior engineers have technical ownership
- Integrate junior and student engineers effectively
- Incorporate usage data and QA findings into planning
- Maintain a healthy, well-prioritized backlog
