- Managed tax compliance and structuring across multiple international entities, EMEA jurisdictions, and multi-entity group structures
- Deep technical knowledge of German tax law (corporate, trade, VAT) and proficiency in tax accounting (HGB, IFRS)
- Developed or maintained transfer pricing documentation in multi-entity, cross-border environment
- Experience navigating tax audits and managing relationships with tax authorities, external advisers, and auditors
- Translate complex tax positions into clear guidance for non-specialist audiences
- Business-fluent in German and fluent in English
- Qualified tax adviser (German Steuerberaterexamen or international equivalent)
- Experience in a Big 4 environment
- Familiarity with government grant schemes and tax-efficient subsidy programmes (R&D allowances)
- Knowledge of IPO tax structuring and practical experience with Pillar Two compliance
- Proficiency in SAP and/or specialist tax software (DATEV)
- Experience implementing or optimising a Tax Compliance Management System (TCMS)
- M&A tax experience (due diligence, post-merger integration)
Aufgaben
- Design and implement tax strategy
- Optimize tax structure while maintaining compliance
- Oversee tax return preparation and review
- Ensure accurate and timely tax filings
- Determine and calculate current and deferred taxes
- Prepare financial statements under German GAAP and IFRS
- Lead external tax audits
- Act as primary contact for tax authorities
- Respond to tax authority enquiries
- Provide tax counsel to executive board
- Advise internal functions on tax matters
- Develop transfer pricing documentation
- Ensure alignment with TP strategy
- Monitor tax legislation and case law
- Translate tax developments into guidance
- Drive tax process automation
- Improve tax tooling
- Develop Tax Compliance Management System
