- Customer/open source community technical issue troubleshooting
- Cloud Native/CNCF projects deployment/integration in production
- Modern ops/delivery tools incorporation (HashiCorp, CI/CD, IaC, GitOps)
- Programming skills in a modern language (Go ideal)
- Ability to collaborate across diverse disciplines
- Multiple project/priority management in dynamic environments
- Excitement for defining/scaling engineering/customer solutions
- Crossplane experience (highly preferred)
- Active involvement/contribution to upstream Kubernetes community
- History of speaking, blogging, or open source contributions
- Experience in startup/distributed/remote teams
- Current CKA or CKAD certification

- Transition customers through post-sales implementation
- Understand customer environments and requirements
- Identify customer platform needs
- Design delightful architectures and solutions
- Ensure successful adoption of Upbound and Crossplane
- Perform technical discovery
- Scope customer engagements
- Author Statements of Work
- Troubleshoot and solve customer implementation challenges
- Write code for customer deployments
- Fix bugs in Upbound and Crossplane codebases
- Build scoped features for Upbound and Crossplane
- Build cloud native reference platforms
- Maintain cloud native reference platforms
- Find solutions for complex integration issues
- Act as Upbound's technical voice to customers
- Represent customer needs to influence roadmap
- Advise customers on ongoing technical solutions
