- Deep understanding of scaled, reliable services/infrastructure in multiple cloud providers
- Excellent communication, engagement, leadership, and presentation skills
- Customer/open source community technical issue resolution
- Deployment/integration of Cloud Native/CNCF projects in production
- Incorporation of modern operational/delivery tools (HashiCorp, CI/CD, IaC, GitOps)
- Programming skills in a modern language (Go ideal)
- Ability to work closely with diverse teams
- Successful management of multiple projects/priorities in dynamic environment
- Excitement/comfort in defining/scaling engineering/customer solutions
- Crossplane experience (highly preferred)
- Active involvement/contribution to upstream Kubernetes community
- History of tech conference speaking, technical writing, and/or open source contribution
- Experience in startup/distributed/remote teams and understanding of startup challenges
- Current CKA or CKAD certification
Aufgaben
- Partner with pre-sales for customer implementation
- Understand customer environments and requirements
- Identify customer platform needs
- Design delightful architectures and solutions
- Ensure successful adoption of Upbound and Crossplane
- Conduct technical discovery for engagements
- Scope customer engagements
- Contribute to authoring Statements of Work
- Troubleshoot and resolve Crossplane deployment issues
- Improve customer deployments through coding
- Fix bugs in Upbound and Crossplane products
- Build scoped features for Upbound and Crossplane
- Build cloud-native reference platforms
- Maintain cloud-native reference platforms
- Collaborate cross-departmentally for solutions
- Resolve complex scenarios and integration issues
- Act as Upbound's technical voice to customers
- Represent customer needs internally
- Influence the product roadmap
- Advise customers on ongoing technical solutions
