Sr Engineering Program Manager I(m/w/x)
Driving electromechanical hardware programs from concept to mass production for public safety technology. Complex program management and on-time delivery experience required. Hybrid schedule with remote Mondays, personal development opportunities.
Anforderungen
- Strong background managing complex electromechanical programs
- Navigating hardware development in resource-constrained environments
- Driving teams toward on-time delivery of durable, high-performance products
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related technical field
- MBA or MS in Engineering Management a plus
- PMP certification a plus
- Proven experience managing hardware product development programs through full product lifecycle
- Experience in industries involving advanced electromechanical systems preferred
- Strong technical fluency across mechanical, electrical, and firmware disciplines
- Experience managing ODM/CM relationships
- Coordinating manufacturing readiness activities including yield, regulatory certification, and factory acceptance
- Familiarity with hardware build phases (EVT/DVT/PVT)
- Familiarity with design freeze processes
- Understanding tradeoffs in transitioning from development to production
- Proficiency with program management tools for scheduling, risk tracking, and cross-functional coordination
- Knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements (e.g., FCC, CE, UL, MIL-STD)
- Experience driving products through certification processes
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to identify critical path risks and drive resolution across competing organizational priorities
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to effectively align cross-functional teams
- Ability to surface tradeoffs to leadership
- Ability to present program status with clarity and confidence
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Ability to handle high levels of ambiguity and evolving requirements
- Legal eligibility to work in a firearms environment (some roles)
Aufgaben
- Drive hardware programs from concept to mass production
- Own and manage the master schedule
- Ensure milestones are met across all program phases
- Lead cross-functional teams in aligning priorities
- Deliver cohesive program outcomes
- Identify and track program risks
- Proactively mitigate risks before they impact schedule or cost
- Manage program budget including NRE, tooling, and build costs
- Maintain alignment between engineering and business commitments
- Collaborate with domestic and international stakeholders
- Ensure manufacturing readiness and on-time production ramp
- Translate complex technical status into clear communication
- Communicate actionable insights to executives and cross-functional teams
- Work autonomously and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Drive clarity in ambiguous situations
- Develop program leadership skills in a dynamic learning environment
