- Comfortable with unfamiliar backends (ideally Rust exposure)
- Good English communication (verbal and written)
- Enjoyment of collaboration (code reviews, pair programming)
- Comfortable working asynchronously (PRs, RFCs, email discussions)
- Striving for self, peer, and culture improvement
- Belief in ethical considerations in engineering
- Encouraged to apply even if not meeting all qualifications
- Significant recent React experience
- Familiarity with backend interface tools (REST, GraphQL, gRPC/Protocol Buffers)
- Understanding of modern JS bundlers (e.g., Vite)
- Experience with TailwindCSS and reusable React component libraries
- Data visualization expertise (D3.js, custom charting, dashboard design)
- Background in designing software for aerospace, defense, or AI end users
Aufgaben
- Collaborate with product designers and engineers
- Lead by example in frontend development
- Enhance usability and end-user experience
- Review code contributions and proposals
- Own user interface from wireframes to production
- Work closely with product and UX teams
- Propose and implement new features and capabilities
- Establish and evolve React component library
- Ensure consistency and reusability in visual design
- Collaborate with the wider frontend community
- Contribute to frontend engineering standards
- Build or adopt tools for frontend efficiency
- Mentor and support interviewing pipeline
- Share technical knowledge with colleagues
- Host tech talks and learning groups
- Connect with and modify backend systems
- Navigate unfamiliar codebases in Rust
- Present work at weekly demo sessions
