- Scale and automate vendor interactions
- Identify and sign up new vendors
- Create items in the catalog
- Negotiate contracts and terms
- Manage promotional activities
- Resolve operational issues
- Influence strategic vendors to prioritize customer experience
- Lower costs and improve supply chain
- Reduce defects and drive efficiencies
- Provide feedback on existing programs
- Initiate new programs to drive vendor participation
- Review promotion results and adjust course of action
- Negotiate new promotions
- Create strategic vendor marketing plans
- Identify areas needing vendor attention
- Direct team to address issues
- Act as escalation point for conflicts
- Audit metrics regularly
- Evaluate products and services for quality
- Work cross-functionally to implement scalable solutions
- Develop and propose annual plans for vendors and categories
- Build a network in the pet industry
- Lead cross-functional projects
- Involve appropriate stakeholders
- Maintain robust process documentation
