Anforderungen

  • •Master degree in Earth observation, environmental sciences, geodesy, geoinformation, or equivalent
  • •Ambition to obtain PhD degree
  • •Knowledge of scientific working and Earth observation
  • •Specialist knowledge in microwave remote sensing of vegetation
  • •Track record of publications and international presentations
  • •Excellent programming skills, preferably Python
  • •Interdisciplinary and team working abilities
  • •Experience in teaching and student supervision
  • •Organisational, analytical skills and structured working
  • •Knowledge of German and excellent English
  • •Experience in acquisition and coordination of projects

Aufgaben

  • •Conduct independent research in microwave satellite-based vegetation monitoring
  • •Lead independent project work within the research unit
  • •Teach courses and supervise students independently
  • •Develop and evaluate new scientific methods and concepts
  • •Write project proposals for national and international funding agencies
  • •Coordinate and manage funded research projects
  • •Handle organizational and administrative tasks for the faculty
  • •Support evaluation measures for the research division and department
