Anforderungen
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or related field
- 1–3 years of experience in external audit with recognized audit firm
- Experience in financial accounting and reporting
- Exposure to budgeting, forecasting, or controlling is an advantage
- Experience in an international environment is desirable
- Strong understanding of accounting principles
- Knowledge of German GAAP (HGB)
- Knowledge of IFRS is an advantage
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g. Unit 4, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics) is an advantage
- Experience with Power BI or similar reporting tools is a plus
- Good working proficiency in English, written and spoken
- Good working proficiency in German is preferred
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Proactive, collaborative, and eager to learn
- Strong business acumen and customer-oriented mindset
Aufgaben
- Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close
- Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and balance sheet accounts
- Ensure compliance with German GAAP and IFRS
- Assist with statutory financial statements and external audits
- Support accounting process improvements and internal controls
- Collaborate with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Treasury, and General Ledger teams
- Work with business partners of each university
- Support annual budgeting and forecasting process
- Prepare monthly management reports and financial analyses
- Perform actual vs. budget and forecast variance analyses
- Monitor departmental costs and financial performance
- Develop financial models and ad hoc analyses
- Assist in KPI reporting and performance monitoring
- Support business cases and investment analyses
- Work with department managers to understand financial performance
- Provide financial insights and recommendations
- Assist with cost optimization initiatives
- Support financial planning activities
- Identify opportunities to improve finance processes and reporting
- Support finance transformation initiatives and system enhancements
- Contribute to standardized reporting and documentation
