- Master's degree or Ph.D. in knowledge representation, semantic technologies, or AI
- Many years of experience in designing, developing, and deploying large-scale ontologies and knowledge graphs
- Strong proficiency with ontology languages (OWL, RDF, RDFS, SHACL)
- Strong proficiency with query languages (SPARQL)
- Hands-on experience with ontology editors and tools (e.g., Protégé, TopBraid Composer, GraphDB, Stardog)
- Familiarity with semantic web standards and best practices
- Deep understanding of switchgear principles, components, architectures, and operational contexts
- Familiarity with relevant industry standards and their implications for data modeling
- Understanding of the switchgear lifecycle
- Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Python or Java) for data processing and semantic application development
- Experience with data modeling
- Experience with database technologies (relational and NoSQL)
- Experience with ETL processes
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking abilities
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to articulate sophisticated technical concepts to diverse audiences
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, agile environment
- Curiosity and continuous learning
- Proficiency in German
- Proficiency in English
Aufgaben
- Design, develop, and maintain ontologies and knowledge graphs for switchgears
- Utilize industry standards like OWL, RDF, and SHACL
- Collaborate with switchgear experts from engineering, product management, R&D, manufacturing, service, and operations
- Elicit, analyze, structure, and formalize domain knowledge into reusable semantic models
- Define ontology scope, modeling principles, and competency questions
- Ensure ontologies accurately represent business concepts and support use cases
- Apply understanding of switchgear components, functions, and principles to model entities and relationships
- Apply understanding of switchgear architectures, standards (IEC, ANSI), and lifecycle processes to model entities and relationships
- Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-scale ontologies, taxonomies, and controlled vocabularies
- Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-scale knowledge graphs
- Define semantic integration strategies for heterogeneous data sources
- Define ontology-based mappings for heterogeneous data sources
- Enable interoperability between engineering, manufacturing, operational, and business systems
