- Proven experience in design and development of novel imaging optics systems
- Strong theoretical knowledge in geometrical, diffractive, and/or physical optics
- Ph.D. in optics-related fields preferred
- Proficiency with raytracing, optical design and simulation software
- Programming skills considered a plus
- Experience with Python and/or other high-level scripting languages
- Excellent problem identification, analysis, and solving abilities

- Analyze optical designs, including tolerancing, yield, straylight, and optimization.
- Design advanced imaging optical systems (fixed focal, zoom, freeform).
- Understand business background and gain industry insights.
- Track and explore advanced technologies and directions.
- Collaborate extensively with team, cross-departmental, and cross-regional colleagues.
- Proactively leverage industry resources to achieve business goals.
- Attend conferences and exhibitions to build connections and collaborations.
- Match top resources to business needs.
- Publish and present results at authoritative venues.
- File patents to protect core assets.
- Maintain and standardize experimental equipment, optical components, and instruments.
- Set up experimental systems and R&D environments.
