- Experience with spectrum analysis and RF test equipment
- Power electronics design expertise (BMS, DC/DC converters, power sequencing)
- Thermal management for electronics experience
- Solid understanding of signal integrity
- Solid understanding of power integrity
- Solid understanding of EMI/EMC mitigation techniques
- Experience with relevant test/qualification methods
- Compliance with FCC and CE standards
- Experience with schematic/PCB review processes
- Experience with design reviews
- Partnering with manufacturing to move designs to production
- Familiarity with MIL-STD concepts preferred
- Familiarity with DO-178/DO-254 concepts preferred
- Familiarity with ruggedization requirements preferred
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements for defense or industrial hardware preferred
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities
- Comfort debugging at board and system level
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to present technical tradeoffs to stakeholders
- Ability to work effectively in fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Ability to work with high levels of ambiguity
- Legal eligibility to work in a firearms environment (some roles)

- Lead electrical system and subsystem development from concept to production
- Ensure designs meet safety, EMC, and reliability standards
- Define electrical architectures for RF sensors, power distribution, and control electronics
- Design and review schematics for mixed-signal, high-speed digital, and RF boards
- Perform PCB layout for mixed-signal, high-speed digital, and RF boards
- Own the full high-speed PCB development lifecycle for FPGAs, processors, and DDR memory
- Emphasize signal integrity in PCB development
- Partner with mechanical engineering for packaging and thermal constraints
- Lead selection and design of FPGA and processor components
- Apply market expertise to guide component choices
- Make high-performance schematic and layout decisions
- Develop and validate power systems including battery management, DC/DC, and power sequencing
- Optimize power systems for robust operation under shock and vibration
- Perform hardware bring-up and debugging
- Integrate electrical systems
- Use lab instrumentation to characterize high-speed digital and RF performance
- Conduct electrical analysis including signal integrity and power integrity
- Perform EMI/EMC mitigation and thermal considerations analysis
- Conduct reliability testing
- Ensure designs meet FCC and CE compliance standards
- Produce high-fidelity prototypes
- Iterate quickly to qualify designs
- Develop test plans
- Lead verification and validation activities
- Collaborate with domestic and international stakeholders across engineering, product, and manufacturing
- Document electrical design specifications
