• •Understanding of climate physics modeling
• •Interest in policy analysis collaboration
• •PhD in climate science or related
• •Knowledge of reduced-complexity climate models
• •Expertise in greenhouse-gas cycles (advantageous)
• •Knowledge of radiative forcing assessments
• •Experience in detection and attribution
• •Work experience in physical climate science
• •Project management and team leadership experience
• •Programming skills in Python or MatLab
• •Experience with git and unit testing

Aufgaben

• •Evaluate emissions scenarios using climate-model emulators
• •Produce probabilistic assessments of global climate outcomes
• •Develop analytical pipelines for physical climate indicators
• •Maintain the Climate Action Tracker aggregation system
• •Create scientific tools to assess mitigation options
• •Calibrate reduced-complexity climate models with historical data
• •Monitor scientific literature and IPCC developments
• •Establish global and national decarbonization benchmarks
• •Expand partnerships with climate modeling groups
• •Coordinate with internal and external project stakeholders
• •Ensure scientific integrity across all work
• •Contribute to and lead scientific articles
• •Represent the organization at international conferences
• •Lead the acquisition of new research projects
