- Ability to write high-quality, understandable, maintainable, and tested code

- Good problem-solving skills and ability for in-depth evaluations of complex technological issues
- Track record of designing, building, and operating reliable/scalable backend systems in a cross-functional team
- Prior experience in Fintech or financial service provider (advantageous)
- Product engineering mindset, excited by solving customer problems
- Desire to become an expert in the domain area
- Enjoyment of building from scratch and high involvement in product development
- Advocating for best engineering practices
- Enjoyment of making technical decisions
- Readiness and willingness to take ownership of problems decisively without supervision
