Select Engineer – Selection Software(m/w/x)

Anforderungen

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical or Thermal Engineering or equivalent technical knowledge
• Strong technical understanding of product configuration, pricing logic, and database management
• Experience in agile software or product development environments
• Knowledge of software/application design principles and strong technical mindset
• Minimum 2–3 years of experience in product configuration and database administration
• Strong ability to work with databases and Microsoft Office tools
• Experience using Azure DevOps or similar systems for work tracking and collaboration
• Fluency in English; an additional language is a plus
• Strong technical and analytical skills with ability to understand complex data
• Good communication skills and ability to explain technical matters clearly
• Collaborative, team-oriented mindset combined with independence and responsibility
• Proactive problem-solver with structured working habits and high reliability

Aufgaben

• Partner with R&I and PLM to capture product extensions and new developments
• Translate product developments into clear functional and data specifications for the Selection Software
• Maintain and refine documentation for selection processes and configuration rules for HX64/65
• Take ownership of the data-update process, including downloading and adjusting data from Select PHE staging
• Provide updated data packages, including pricing, to the development team
• Manage interfaces with CPQ and SAP-VC for seamless system integration
• Review developments in staging systems and conduct testing and UAT
• Verify correct calculation results for selected units
• Investigate user-reported findings and bugs related to data and rules
• Prepare fixes and propose improvements based on investigations
• Coordinate data-quality governance with Product Development
• Resolve discrepancies using Azure DevOps work items
• Update data to reflect new products, options, and regional variations
• Contribute to improvements in calculation and configuration logic
• Provide first-level user support for selection and calculation questions
• Maintain FAQs and quick user guides for users
• Manage user roles, permissions, and Admin Core Data rights
• Contribute to budget estimations for software development and maintenance
• Manage timelines and delivery of assigned tasks
• Support the handover of software to maintenance teams
• Ensure high-quality data administration of the Select PHE platform
