- Design and synthesize molecules for surface coatings
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary research groups
- Plan and execute scientific R&D projects
- Conduct laboratory experiments and research activities
- Assess feasibility of new inventions and products
- Perform literature and patent research
- Maintain scientific documentation, protocols, and databases
- Develop existing products and processes
- Produce reference substrates and perform application testing
- Participate in safety assessments and laboratory automation
- Organize laboratory maintenance, repairs, and procurement
- Contribute to scientific publications and conferences
- Advise on subject-matter-specific topics across departments
