Developing and realizing fiber laser designs and demonstrators at research institute. Experience in fiber laser design, realization, and related measurement techniques essential. Freedom for scientific development, Fraunhofer TALENTA program.
Anforderungen
- Completed scientific degree (Diploma/Master) in Physics, Electrical Engineering, or comparable fields, preferably with a doctorate
- Experience in design and realization of fiber lasers (laser resonators and amplifiers design, optical components assembly, thermal and nonlinear effects) and related measurement techniques (beam quality, spectrum, temporal dynamics)
- Knowledge in handling splicing devices and heat sinks for fiber lasers (ideally)
- Knowledge in fiber optics, micro optics, or simulation of fiber lasers (advantageous)
- Passion for scientific work and practical application of research results
- Very good German (B2/C1 level) and English (at least B2 level) in spoken and written form

- Realize laser setups up to demonstrators
- Integrate internal photonic components with new functionalities
- Conduct scientific investigations of fiber lasers

- Improve fiber components and new designs
- Work independently on fiber laser projects
- Write reports in English
- Write publications in English
- Write reports in German, if possible
- Write publications in German, if possible
