- Protect Group from commodity market volatility
- Identify, develop, and procure low-carbon materials
- Ensure alignment with Net Zero and BREEAM commitments
- Lead pre-qualification process for new vendors
- Review and critique vendor financial stability
- Review and critique vendor safety records
- Review and critique vendor ethical labor practices
- Manage and coordinate call-off schedules for live projects
- Ensure materials arrive in just-in-time windows
- Minimize site storage requirements
- Identify and manage single-point-of-failure risks in supply chain
- Develop contingency plans for long-lead specialized equipment
- Review and critique mechanical and electrical specifications
- Identify equal and approved alternatives
- Provide internal updates to Operations and Financial Directors
- Report on spend analytics
- Report on inflation trends
- Report on supplier performance
- Arrange and chair quarterly supplier review meetings
- Discuss innovation with suppliers
- Discuss service levels with suppliers
- Discuss upcoming project pipelines with suppliers
- Capture and document post-project supplier performance
- Refine Preferred Supplier List for future work-winning
