Aufgaben
- Lead external audit backlog remediation dating back to 2022
- Prepare PBC for external audits
- Liaise with auditors
- Resolve technical accounting queries
- Prepare technical accounting analyses under HGB and IFRS
- Design and build lasting consolidation capability
- Map entity hierarchies, intercompany eliminations, and currency translation
- Transition consolidations from LucaNet to NetSuite
- Co-lead NetSuite consolidation setup
- Review consolidated financial statements under HGB and IFRS
- Maintain preparer/reviewer segregation of duties
- Leverage balance sheet reconciliation and variance analysis
- Update reconciliations and maintain monthly close rigor
- Produce quarterly balance sheet briefing binder
- Contribute to finance automation programs (NetClose, NetCash, NetAsset, dunning, AI flows)
- Design, implement, and improve end-to-end R2R, H2R, P2P, and O2C processes
- Gather input from stakeholders before rolling out changes
- Maintain clear documentation and audit trails
- Act as a responsive point of contact for Finance, Legal, People Ops, and business stakeholders
- Acknowledge requests quickly with clear timelines
- Explain and apply accounting requirements consultatively
- Tailor accounting rule implementation to business context
- Communicate in German and English
- Take on independent ownership of group consolidation
- Take on independent ownership of statutory and technical reporting
- Take on independent ownership of audit remediation
- Take on independent ownership of banking operations
- Cross-train with the European Accounting team
- Work cross-regionally with the North America accounting team
- Establish or improve processes and controls in a fast-growth environment
- Partner with external tax advisors on German tax matters
- Ensure accurate, on-time German tax filings
- Resolve multi-year audit backlogs
- Use balance sheet KPIs and variance analysis to isolate problems
- Prioritize problems using data
- Confirm solutions land as intended using data
