Anforderungen
- Graduate degree (Master’s or university diploma) with Ph.D. in physics, chemistry, or atmospheric/environmental sciences, specializing in optical spectroscopy (FTIR, TDL)
- Professional experience in TDL and/or FTIR spectroscopy development and application (preferably in atmospheric sciences)
- Extensive knowledge of TDL, FTIR, and scattered light spectroscopy
- Practical experience in setup and use of TDL, FTIR, and scattered light measurement systems
- Experience in optomechanical systems design
- Programming skills in LabView and Python
- Strong communication skills in German and English
- Teamwork and structured, goal-oriented work approach
Aufgaben
- Install and commission TDL, FTIR, and light scattering measurement systems
- Develop new or enhanced TDL, FTIR, and light scattering measurement systems
- Consider operational requirements for the new simulation chamber
- Utilize state-of-the-art technology in spectroscopy and opto-mechanics
- Contribute to software development for measurement system control
- Integrate measurement systems into central facility control and data acquisition
- Conduct test measurements and participate in initial scientific experiments
- Create technical documentation, functional specifications, and operating instructions
