In this role, you will provide essential financial counseling to military service members and their families, helping them navigate financial challenges and develop effective spending plans. Daily responsibilities include conducting workshops, utilizing virtual communication tools, and collaborating with leadership to ensure the program meets the needs of the community.

Anforderungen

• •Bachelor's degree
• •Associate degree plus 4 years' experience in lieu of bachelor's degree
• •High school diploma plus 6 years' experience in lieu of bachelor's degree
• •3+ years of financial counseling experience
• •U.S. citizenship and fluent English
• •Bilingual in English and Spanish if required by the contract
• •Ability to obtain a favorably adjudicated Tier 2 investigation
• •Ability to pass the Congressionally Mandated Disclosures for Organizational Conflicts of Interest (OCI) process
• •One of the following certifications: Accredited Financial Counselor (AFC), Certified Financial Planner (CFP), or Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC)

Aufgaben

• •Provide personal financial counseling services to military service members and their families
• •Assist service members in creating spending plans for extended absences
• •Develop and distribute informational financial materials for service members and families
• •Coordinate and conduct Personal Financial Management classes and workshops on various topics
• •Respond to requests for age-appropriate financial classes or seminars
• •Utilize virtual counseling and electronic communication methods effectively
• •Manage duty to warn situations following Department of Defense protocols
• •Communicate with leadership and participate in supervision to discuss trends and issues
• •Engage in regular training and quality improvement activities as assigned
• •Perform additional duties as assigned by leadership
